Colas Rail Kirow 1200 81612 was at site but did not appear to be involved in the wagon re-railing which was done with jacks. See https://twitter.com/freightmasteruk for 29 Jan etc for photos and videos. Which organisation ( these days ) is responsible for transporting and using such jacks? ps (( No report of any cranes involvement in the re-railing between Leyton Midland Road and Walthamstow Queens Road )) |

I can't answer your question, I'm afraid, but I find it extraordinary that it has taken longer to reopen the affected line after this derailment than it did to reopen all lines through Harrow & Wealdstone station in October 1952. Progress? |

I am informed that a new point has got to be made as they do not have any spare, so they are running at reduced speed across the affected area having installed some temporary track. |
