Somewhat sadly, it appears this footage is only visible from the UK - at least on this side of the world I get a 'Not available in your area" error message. What ever happened to BBC World Service

There is a 30-min programme titled "Steam into Summer" viewable on the BBC's Steam Archive film website which was filmed at the DVLR in 1979 and which includes some footage of the ex-GWR No 2 steam breakdown crane working during an open day at Buckfastleigh. The crane footage is approx 13.33 mins into the programme. How times have changed! |

Phil, now you mention it I remember that the BBC online archinve is limited to the UK, although I am not sure why. Sorry that your hopes have been dashed.
