The History of Cranes Some comments may be noted :-

Pic.66 – For Peterhead 1891.

Pic.67 – Actually by Stothert & Pitt, in 1901. S&P P337/1900-01 Later sent to Malta.

Pic.68 – At Port Talbot in late 1890s, Contractor Pearson & Co., crane by Ransomes & Rapier, 701/1896. Later sent to Seaham.

Pic.69 – Dundee ( text reference re Birkenhead incorrect. )

Pic.88 – see note re pic.68.

Pic.98 – Tare was 40 tons; not lifting capacity
