CME 22 - Gateshead Crane Album

CME 22 was a Cowans Sheldon 45-ton crane built in 1926 for the LNER as their Gateshead crane.

The Cowans Sheldon number was 4525. It was given LNER No. CME 22, later 901646, and finally BR 154. Withdrawn in 1968, it was cannibalised for the benefit of its twin, the ex-Doncaster crane (seen in album ADRC95224).
