CME15 (RS1063/35) Album

This 35-ton crane was built for the North Eastern Railway in 1912 and given the number CME15. It was later renumbered to 971580 (LNER), and then RS1063/35 (BR).
Cost new: £3,020.

It transferred from York to Eastfield in 1927, then to Thornton in 1940 and to Ferryhill in 1961. Withdrawn in 1967.
