    this was a tricky recovery as the loco was derailed on the down slope of the shunting hump and came to rest on the middle set of wheels , firstly we secured the crane which was on the down slope with the bd train loco attached to the crane as an anchor , then the victim was derailed completely and then re-railed
    the bd gang member at the side of the loco watching ,for activity if my memory is correct is peter woad
    note the packing under the rear buffer beam to enable slewing the loco when lifted enough to allow all wheels to clear the rails
