Derailment at Marley Junction - 10

The trilby-hatted foreman watches over proceedings.

Note the double-packing, wedged under the prop close to the crane carriage as well as in the conventional place under the screw jack.

Loco weighs 59 tons. Comparing with recent photos it's possible to say the Radius/Weight indicator is at 35' (18.75 tons). No wonder Healey Mills came to help.

Also note in picture 12 that the ratchet for screwing-down the prop feet has been extended with a piece of tubing, presumably to give more leverage in propping.
